  • Deflating

Inflation just hit zero and the ship is going down,
we need another stimulus package says Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Pump in a few more billion to ensure the banking system’s reform,
create some more jobs so we can weather the financial storm.
We’re going to the edge, but can they stop it from going over,
too late, we need more than a bit of luck and a perfect four leaf clover.
For history has foretold that governments can’t stop it,
as billions disappear trying to catch the falling rocket.

  • Economic Spin

    Economic disaster, a doomsday destined,
but should we also blame the Peston.
The media machine and his type,
drove the bust with negative hype.
While things go up and must come down,
the media can push the world around.
By playing with the human way, disrupting confidence day to day,
a subconscious spin comes into play.
For while it’s true the bankers failed and the economic boom was at it’s tail,
the media told the tale to fail, which helped the economic train de-rail.
The same way that it went too far,
the media accelerates the falling star.

Deep in recession, it’s really not a good time,
they keep on taking out more debt could that actually be a crime?
    Is it out of line?
Who will really get the fine?

As we spiral down and down, what really can they do,
to stop this bursting bubble from effecting me and you.

  • Bruised Monday

    The situations getting worse,
as the shares begin to burst.
    Have we reached the worst?
Is it time to call the hearse?
Bruised and batterered markets continue going down,
companies going under, the bull has definitley drown.
Is this the beginning of the madness or are we in for more?
Will it keep on going or have we hit the floor?
So many questions, so can’t be sure,
on this bruised Monday as we hear the Bear roar!

    The price is going up,
I’d say you’re out of luck.
You can’t afford a pot to piss in, no matter how much you keep wishing.
    The price is going up.

    On no it’s going down,
    Again you’re out of luck.
That pot you bought to piss in has got you kind of stuck.
The price is going down and no longer going up.

    Property Crash
Who kept on buying, the market was going to crash.
I hope you put away some cash to ensure you don’t lose your stash.
Will you have to dash to pull out cash or will it all turn around in a flash.
Will you be standing high and dry or handing over keys and starting to cry.
Or is it a lie, will the market defy, will it stay high, or start to die?
Who knows not I, whether to sell or to buy.

    Older Stocks & Shares Poems:

    The bull and the bear were fighting about whether to go up or down;
The bull sometimes beat the bear, but sometimes the bull would start to drown.
    Some invested specifically, and some spread it around;
Some made some money, but some could not be found.

Stocks go down and shares go up,
And all I want is a bit of luck.
To catch them on the right way round,
And sell them before the price goes down.
