Youtube is an amazing place, but it can be like a zoo.
Sh$t videos with a million hits, and great ones with only two.
Plus what is this obsession, with people talking s$it,
set-up and turn on your camera and shout straight into it.
Bitching about Kanye, Lindsay and anything in the news,
why do we care so much these blogger views.

The Internets not working, the connection keeps dropping out.
There isn’t really much I can do, it’s just starting to make me shout!

My Dell Laptop is slow, it’s very slow.
With daily grind I’ve become it’s hoe.
It comes with me wherever I go,
and the battery always seems to be low.
A useful tool or emotional curse?
So often it’s errors bring out the worst.
We’ll see if it helps out today,
or sparks frustration in every way.

  • Demon Friend

Posted on April 16th, 2009 PoeticScoundrel No comments

The demon friend I love then hate,
the kind of friend you don’t advocate.
At any rate, it can change your state,
this friend I would not advocate.
For enjoying one will lead to three,
from gentle buzz to stinging bee.
    A pint, a bottle, a barrel, a crate,
a friend that I should not advocate.
Enjoyed with friends or sipped alone,
for many it can change the tone.
Leading to a good or evil state,
a friend I should not advocate.
    However, so many can relate,
as the realisation always comes too late.
And the hangover is a chosen fate,
from the demon drink we love then hate.

  • Jealous of Time

Posted on April 10th, 2009 PoeticScoundrel No comments

    Why be so unkind,
    And stifle the creative mind.
    Why not just unwind,
And let those people have their time.
Or guide them with your know,
Let them flow, and help them grow.
Better to walk along that line,
Let the people have their time.
    As jealousy can run rife,
    Looking back upon your life.
But this could be a sign,
If you help, it could be your time.

Technology is an amazing thing, when it works it tis a dream,
Yet so often it’s not quite what it seems.
    Version one and v 1.2,
but even version 5 won’t do.
Getting close to version 8, but oops it’s too late,
something new for the mags to rate.
A non-stop cycle of bits and bytes,
everyone fighting to reach new heights.
Buy the newest at the highest price,
six months pass and it won’t suffice.
Comms devices, organization, information and more,
Are we now just technology’s whore?

I’ve set-up my profile on Youbook because Facespace isn’t cool anymore,
I used to be on Metafriend, but that became a bore.
I usually watch clips on MyTube, but IBored is good for babes and boobs.
LinkLives good for business, Meoh and Vebo are full of newbs.
Wittering is the latest thing to communicate with the world,
and there are more than enough dating sites to find the perfect girl.
Poking, chatting, playing, and plenty of status updates,
friends in Asia, New Zealand, and a couple in the States.
Socializing, community, so much fun at the click of a mouse,
maybe one of these days I’ll speak to someone and even leave the house!

  • Stress

The stress is getting to me,
I need to calm it down.
    Anxious, very anxious,
    When will it come around.
    And go away and leave me in peace so I can breathe;
Just control your mind, not that easy, no indeed.

  • All The Same

Posted on February 28th, 2009 PoeticScoundrel No comments

I’ve been around the world, seen and met a lot of people,
But what is very apparent is that our minds are all quite equal.
    Some are smart and some are dumb;
and some can be a lot of fun.
    Others might be a pain,
And others can be as dull as rain.
    Even when the differences remain,
When you switch the light off we’re all the same.

    Queuing
Why are there so many queues?
Tickets, shops, banks, clubs, and plenty of queues for loos.
Waiting, waiting, waiting, in a lengthy line,
With nothing to do for half an hour except stare at the ‘Queue here’ sign.
Rows of empty counters and one person serving all,
Or get inside the empty club and it’s actually really small.
